Winter Olympics: 14 Fiamme Oro athletes on the hunt for medals

A total of 14 athletes of the Fiamme Oro police sports group have been selected to represent Italy at the XII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

They will be competing in many winter Olympic disciplines: Cross country skiing, with Federico Pellegrino, Dietmar Noeckler, Ilaria Debertolis and Mattia Pellegrin; Alpine skiing, with Chiara Costazza and Davide Simoncelli; Nordic combined, with Samuel Costa and Giuseppe Michielli; Snowboard, with Meinhard Erlaher and Nadya Ochner; Biathlon, with Alexia Runggaldier; Four-man bobsleigh, with Francesco Costa; Short track, with Tommaso Dotti; Speed skating, with David Bosa.

Two Fiamme Oro athletes are in the Olympic reserve team, ready to go to Sochi in case of need: Paolo Bacchini for the discipline of figure skating and Samuele Romanini for bobsleigh.

Among the paralympic champions, our Enzo Masiello will compete in Cross country events.
