Stations, ports and airports
Railway stations, sea terminals and airports are places where a number of different crimes can take place. Therefore, it is very important to keep your eyes wide open.
When arriving or leaving late at night it is advisable to have someone accompanying you or picking you up.
Don't address illicit street vendors offering various services such as taxis, hotel accommodation, and tourist tours. Remember they often don't have any insurance cover.
Always take care of your luggage; don't bring too much and don't leave it unattended.
If you are worried by the people around you or you feel scared, contact the Railway or Border Police.
Many crooks hang about around stations, so avoid hidden corners and dark and isolated areas.
Give and expect clear appointments in places and with people you can easily spot.
If your train or your means of transport is late, don't accept any off-the-cut substitute travel organized by strangers or non-authorized people.
