Office for the foreign clergy

The Office was officially set up in 1992 to improve, as far as possible, any form of reception of foreign clergy and laypersons requesting to stay in Rome for study reasons or for religious vocation.

It carries out its activities in close cooperation with the Immigration Office of the Rome Questura and acquires all necessary documents for the issue of a stay permit, in compliance with the rules in force. After a careful screening documents are sent to the Questura for the issue of the residence permit.
