CONDIVIDI

polizia stradale scorta i ciclistiThe Traffic Police are prepared to keep our roads safe during the UCI Road World Championships which will take place from 21 to 29 September in Tuscany.

Forty motorcycles of the Traffic Police will escort the athletes along the race course during the 5-day sport event.

As it happens on the occasion of the Tour of Italy, in addition to operational services, the Traffic Police will launch an awareness campaign on road safety, in collaboration with the Italian Cycling Youth Federation.

The Blue Coach - the itinerant multimedia classroom of the Traffic Police - will be present at the Mandela Forum in Florence - and police officers will welcome visitors with videos and brochures on road safety, focusing on the most vulnerable road users, i.e. pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists.

On September 24 the Blue Coach will be in Montecatini Terme (Pistoia) for the "Pinocchio bike school" event, organized to educate on safe cycling.

On the same day, at 09.00 a.m., the movie "Young Europe", part of a road safety project co-financed by the European Commission, will be screened at the Air force military academy "Giulio Dohuet" in Florence. The short film was presented as a side event at the last Venice Film Festival.
